Great price

There’s nothing but good things to say about this shop. This car needed a lot of work from oil leaks, engine mounts, airbag light, to coolant leaks, and they did this work in a day. Fast and great work. This if for sure my go to shop from now on. Highly recommend!

I had an excellent experience at this shop. I brought my car in, and from start to finish the service was outstanding. The team was professional, honest, and took the time to explain everything they were doing. They did an absolute 10/10 job, and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. Their pricing was also very fair, especially considering the level of service and attention to detail. It’s hard to find a shop you can truly trust, but these guys definitely earned my business. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high quality work on their German vehicle. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Great price

I bought my BMW secondhand and it came with a whole list of issues, so I brought it to Zayd and his team and I'm so glad I did. They fixed my bumper, took care of some engine repairs, and even helped me install customizations including a new steering wheel, front lip, bumper, and side skirts. The whole team was great to work with from start to finish. Honest, skilled, and they clearly take pride in their work. Anytime I need anything for my car, this is where I'm going. Highly recommend!

Factory-Level Diagnostics

ISTA for BMW, XENTRY for Mercedes-Benz, ODIS for Audi and Volkswagen, PIWIS for Porsche. A generic scanner reads the engine module and not much else. The factory software reads evry module on the car, with live data and the guided tests that come with it.

Engine Repair

Oil leaks from the valve cover, filter housing and timing cover, timing chain guides, PCV valves, water pumps, high-presure fuel pumps and injectors. Each engine family has its known failures, and the right parts to fix them are known too.

Electrical and Module Faults

Battery and charging faults, chewed wiring, failed modules, and the coding that follows a replacment. A new module on a modern German car doesnt work untill its coded to the car.

Cooling System

Plastic radiators, expansion tanks, thermostats and electric water pumps age on a schedule, and Georgia summers speed it up. We pressure-test the system, find the leak insted of guessing, and replace what failed with OEM parts.

Suspension and Steering

Control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rods, shocks, struts and air suspension, then a four-wheel alignment to factory spec once the parts are in. Worn bushings are the usuall cause of the clunk over the railroad tracks on 78.

Drivetrain and Differential

Driveshaft center bearings and flex discs, CV axles and boots, differential and transfer case fluid and seals. The fluids the factory once called lifetime still ware out, and the parts they protect are alot more expensive then the fluid.

German Performance is a family-owned, independent German auto repair shop at 2144 Parkwood Rd NW in Snellville, Georgia. We've served Gwinnett County since 2010, from Loganville to Lilburn to Stone Mountain, and its still the same family at the counter. We work on BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen, classics to current, and nothing else.

What do I do if my BMW says drivetrain malfunction?

Pull over when its safe, let the car sit a minute, and restart it. Most of the time it clears for a while. If the message comes back or the car wont pull, dont keep driving on it. Call us. That message covers a coil, an injector, a boost leak or a timing fault, and only the factory software can tell wich.

Will servicing my car here void my dealership warranty?

No. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act a dealer cant void your factory warranty because an independent shop did the work, as long as its done right with the right parts. We document everthing so your records are dealer-ready. We wrote up what actually changes when you leave the dealer if you want the long answer.

Do you use OEM parts or aftermarket parts?

Mostly OEM and OEM-equivalent parts, becuase thats what keeps the car feeling like it should. For an older car or a tight budget well talk through quality aftermarket options with you, always with a straight answer on whats going in your car and why.

What diagnostic equipment do you use?

The same factory software the dealer uses: ISTA for BMW, XENTRY for Mercedes-Benz, ODIS for Audi and VW, PIWIS for Porsche. That means every module, live data, adaptations and coding, not just clearing a code with a scanner that dont speak the language, with a generic OBD-II scanner from the parts store.

How do you estimate a repair?
